When Stefanie and I were first talking back-and-forth about her wedding and all the fun stuff that goes along with it, she said “I am the head Zoo Keeper at the Bowmanvlle Zoo. I’d like to do some engagement photographs there”. I thought “cool, it will be really neat to do some photographs at the zoo”, but in reality, I had NO IDEA what I was getting myself in to!
We drove up to Bowmanvillve this past weekend to hang out with Stefanie and Justin for their engagement portrait session, and yes, the first half of it was at the zoo. When I say “at the zoo”, though, I don’t just mean “at the zoo”, I mean we were in there WITH the animals, “at the zoo”.
Wow! What an experience!
Stefanie got us in the cages with the lion, the tiger, and the elephants for some really amazing portraits with her and Justin. As you can see from the photographs below, Al and I even got a chance to get a few photographs taken.
Thank you Stefanie and Justin for giving us this opportunity! Can’t wait for the trash-the-dress at the zoo! Woo hoo!]]>
After the zoo, we went to this really neat Western-themed Village (on an old farm), where the owner had actually built an entire village. He had a saloon, a barber, a blacksmith shop, and everything! It was the neatest thing, and we got some great photographs there.
